The Metabuilding Labs project, in which ECTP participates, is proud to announce its participation at the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) in Barcelona, taking place on November 4-6, 2025.
Metabuilding will be showcasing its ecosystem of services and network of testing facilities, which is empowering the next generation of sustainable and digital solutions for the built environment.

Breakout Session: The Future of Construction Innovation

The MBLabs core presence is a dedicated Breakout Session under the Infrastructure & Building track:

• Session Title: Unlocking Construction Innovation in Europe: The Metabuilding Ecosystem
• Date & Time: Thursday, November 6, 2025, 09:30 - 10:15 CET

This session will detail how the Metabuilding Labs OITB is unifying hundreds of facilities and top EU scientists to deliver essential testing and product development consulting for new technologies.

Key Agenda Highlights

Attendees will gain crucial insights from project leaders on how to accelerate innovation and circularity in the construction sector:

• Welcome & The Metabuilding Ecosystem in Action: Germain Adell, General Director, Metabuilding ASBL, will introduce the complete ecosystem, OITB services, and the digital platform.
• Fostering Innovation on a European Scale: Nerea Gomez, Project & Policy Officer at ECTP, will discuss the strategic role of ECTP and the Built4People Partnership in steering innovation.
• The Data Foundation for Circular Construction: Emre Yöntem, CEO of EcoWise, will highlight how Metabuilding enables synergies for a Circular Economy using Digital Product Passports and Digital Building Logbooks.

The session will conclude with a Q&A and Open Roundtable, moderated by Nerea Gómez, to spark future partnerships and answer audience questions.
