Join a MOOC on building expertise on developing sustainable and resilient infrastructure

GIB and the EPFL have developed a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC): 'Building expertise on developing sustainable and resilient infrastructure' starting on the 17th June.

The MOOC is open to everyone, and those who enroll at this stage have the option of taking the course free of charge or to pay a small fee to be eligible to receive university credits from EPFL and a verified certificate.

This course provides knowledge, builds expertise and provides tools for the planning, financing and procurement and contractual arrangements that are needed for sustainable and resilient infrastructure projects.

Drawing on the most recent developments in the area of social and environmental science as well as the expertise of practitioners, this course will help you to understand what constitutes sustainable and resilient infrastructure and how it enables the Sustainable Development Goals to be achieved. In this context, you will be introduced to SuReĀ®, an international voluntary standard for infrastructure, and you will learn how implementing SuReĀ® throughout procurement helps ensure that infrastructure is sustainable and resilient.
